Cara over at January One decided to tag me for two truths and a lie. So. Here it goes. I'm gonna talk about some famous people.
1) When I was a kid (under ten years old) my dad was the best man at Sheryl Crow's sister's wedding. The whole family trekked up to Missouri for the affair and attended the rehearsal dinner at Sheryl Crow's house. My sister and I found the entire event boring, so we ended up in Ms. Crow's bedroom eating barbecue ribs and watching Inspector Gadget.
2) When I lived in Baltimore, Maryland, my roommate and I were walking around one afternoon in Fells Point, a hip shopping/nightlife rich area of the city when a man wearing a hat pulled low over his face and sunglasses crossed our path. I had one of those split-second-later realizations just as he passed that the guy looked a whole lot like My Favorite Actor, Mr. Edward Norton, who just happens to be be from Baltimore. Embarrassing for me... I just happened to exclaim his identity a little too loud, because he turned around and waved at me. I was a mortified and unable to approach the guy. He smiled and kept walking, and I kicked myself all the way to the bar.
3) At the paint-your-own pottery store where I used to worked, we held a celebrity painting night where several local country music people came in to make ceramics to be sold at a silent auction. Among attendance were Guy Clark, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, and George Jones. While I spent most of the night annoyed by the fact that a certain contemporary Christian music singer was extremely snooty to me, my boss and I also had to deal with the fact that there wasn't any alcohol at the event (and I quote in a whispered tone), "because of Mr. Jones." Boo.
Now, friends. Find me out.
