After manically knitting for three weeks straight, I've hit a lull. While working on a pair of socks for Emily, I've hit a grumpy case of ennui. It's a bummer. I desperately want to cast-on for something new, but rules are rules. I'm trying to finish old wips or work on the current, new project ONLY. I don't know why I insist on punishing myself this way.
As for the finished items, the Clapotis wrapped up quickly. I think Mom will be pleased. The Maine Morning Mitts are already in constant use. Two happy projects.
I'm going to go sit down with my sock in progress again. Maybe if I just push myself through the slump, it'll go away... right?








So now that we're eight days into the new year, I've finally found myself with the time to take stock of my life, knitting-wise. I've been more prolific already this year than was in 2007... I'm on the home stretch on a pair of socks and I'm a few inches into a fair isle hat.
Currently, the socks on the needles are the Merino Lace Socks from Interweave's Favorite Knitted socks. Just before I sat down to type the post I had finished the third gusset decrease on the heel of the second sock, and I'm loving it. The first sock is beautiful, and it's currently resting on the new sock blockers I picked up from
